Part of the M-10 John C. Lodge freeway will close this weekend to make way for a bridge demolition.

Starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 9 through June 12, the freeway will close in each direction as crews demolish the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard bridge over the freeway, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The freeway will be closed between I-75 and Warren Avenue and will reopen at 5 a.m. on June 12.
