Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has released her new $3 billion plan to fund road construction — which includes having corporations such as Amazon, X, Facebook and TikTok, pay more taxes. In addition, she wants to increase the gas tax with the money going specifically to roads. WWJ’s Tony Ortiz spoke with Executive Vice President Rob Coppersmith. We’ll also hear from Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt, who shared with WWJ’s Ryan Wrecker what state Republicans think of the plan.
