JACKSON, MI – While the Flint water crisis is a prominent example, it’s not the only case of infrastructural issues in Michigan.
The two candidates seeking the 64th District Michigan House of Representative sea in the Nov. 8 general election – Republican Julie Alexander and Democrat Ron Brooks – believe the state should work with local municipalities to fund projects that will help avoid long-term problems.
The 64th district includes the city of Jackson, Concord, Hanover, Napoleon, Parma, Pulaski, Sandstone, and Spring Arbor and Summit townships. Republican Earl Poleski cannot run for the position again due to term limits.
All candidates in contested races appearing on the ballot were invited by email to fill out the MLive Voter Guide. Below is a snapshot of some of their responses.
