Get ready for a few more road closures and detours.

Conrail has announced it will be conducting resurfacing work at the railroad crossing on Van Horn Road near Lathrop, between Fort Street and Jefferson Avenue beginning Sept. 11.

The work is expected to end Sept. 15.

Work also is targeted for the crossing on Biddle Avenue in Wyandotte, between North Line and Goddard roads Sept. 25.

That will last for an entire week as well.

The crossing on Jefferson, next to Marion Avenue in River Rouge, will be the final weeklong project and detours will be put in place there, too.

The resurfacing program is sponsored by the Michigan Department of Transportation, along with Conrail and local road authorities.

In Trenton, Van Horn will close at the crossing for eastbound and westbound traffic.
