KALAMAZOO, MI — An exit connecting U.S. 131 and I-94 between Kalamazoo and Portage will be closed to traffic this weekend.
Bridge sealing work will require the southbound US-131 ramp at Exit 34 to eastbound I-94 to shut down from 8 p.m. Friday, July 21, through 6 a.m. Monday, July 24.
The Michigan Department of Transportation advises motorists to take the adjacent exit to westbound I-94, and turn around at the 9th Street Exit 72 to head east on I-94.
According to MDOT traffic figures, an average of 88,400 vehicles travel east and west on this section of roadway each day.
