ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU)– Several roads in Isabella County are ‘closed indefinitely’ due to the flooding in the area.
Isabella County Central Dispatch says there are 100 miles of roadway that have been severely impacted by high water.
Isabella County Central Dispatch also posted a list of road closures.
Isabella County received an unprecedented amount of rain in a short period of time on June 23, 2017 resulting in severe flooding throughout the community. On Friday evening June 23, 2017 Isabella County Board of Commissioners Chairman, George Green declared a local state of emergency.
Following Midland and Isabella Counties declaring emergencies on Friday, a state disaster was declared, allowing state dollars to assist in clean-up efforts.
