JACKSON, MI – Instead of being covered by white snow, Michigan’s roads soon will be covered by orange barricades.
The Michigan Department of Transportation released it’s list of 2017 road projects, including a handful in the Jackson area.

This is not a full list of construction projects for the Jackson area, as MDOT only is responsible for state highways – which is all “M,” “I” and “U.S.” roads in Michigan.
Counties are responsible for another handful of roads, while local public roads must be maintained by the individual municipalities.
