Officials announced Wednesday a $63 million road improvement plan for 2017 that will include 100 miles of residential and major street resurfacing.

The project will include $4 million in road enhancements, bridge improvements and new bike paths, according to a release from the city.

The plan to improve the roads totals a 35 percent increase over the last three year average, according to a news release from the city.

The plan calls for resurfacing 57 miles of residential neighborhood streets and paving 43 miles of major roads.
