Warmer weather ushers in a season of picnics, proms and pool parties but with along with the fun comes another rite of summer — road construction.

The orange barrels are visible around the state, and Dearborn is no exception.

The city’s road projects and construction schedule for the season has been confirmed, with water main and sewer replacement foremost among the work.

Most of the renovations include water main replacements and ongoing Combined Sewer Overflow sewer separation projects.

Two of the city’s four CSO projects began in February. The first near Heritage Parkway is set to wrap up in July with landscaping and sod replacement done by September.

A second project — which includes Ternes Street from Ford Road to Alber Street; Alber Street from Mead to Chase; and Colson from Greenfield to Palmer — should be done in August.

Another CSO project on the city’s west side will continue until November and includes Fairway Drive from Gulley to Fairway Court; Whittier Place from Winchester to Fairway Drive; Cambridge Street from Winchester to Fairway Drive; Woodcroft Street from Michigan Avenue to Riverdale Street; and Riverdale Street from Whittier Place to Winchester
