FLINT TWP., MI – Motorists driving south on Interstate 75 at Miller Road will be detoured for construction work overnight on Friday, the Michigan Department of Transportation said in a statement.

The southbound lanes will be closed while workers will pour the new bridge deck surface, the statement said.

Southbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes and will be detoured onto the Interstate 69 connector ramp and then re-enter I-75 south of the Miller Road overpass.

The Miller Road ramp to I-75 also will be closed, the statement said.

Work will begin at 9 p.m. on July 21 and southbound I-75 should be reopened by 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 22.

The work is part of a $426,000 project to repair damage to the overpass sustained when a high load hit it in December 2016, the statement said.
