POTTERVILLE – Potterville residents are being advised to boil their water until further notice after a water main break on Wednesday.

The city had a “complete loss of pressure” at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, city officials wrote on Facebook early Thursday morning.

The post reads in part:

“The water tower is going through a periodic inspection. During the inspection process a main break occurred which caused the loss of water pressure. The main break has been identified, is isolated and being fixed. The (city) will conduct tests to ensure the water is safe to drink without the boiling advisory. Until then, the (city) asks that you boil water before using. You will be notified when the advisory is no longer in effect.”

Anyone with questions can call city officials at 517-645-7641.
