GENESEE COUNTY, MI – Work to repair a damaged overpass along southbound Interstate 75 will lead to some lane closures along the interstate and a busy Flint Township road.

Lane closures are expected between 10 p.m.-4 a.m. Sept. 11-14 on Miller Road and southbound I-75 at Miller Road to allow the Michigan Department of Transportation to apply a concrete surface coat to the bridge.

The work is a portion of a $426,000 project to repair the bridge after it sustained a high-load hit in December 2016, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Jocelyn Hall, MDOT spokesperson, said the department would be seeking reimbursement from the trucking company for the cost of the work that has included beam removal and bridge deck repairs over the duration of the project.
