MONITOR TWP, MI — A portion of US-10 in Bay County’s Monitor Township is to be closed during nighttime hours this weekend.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is closing the ramps at the eastbound US-10 interchange with Mackinaw Road for ramp improvements and resurfacing. This work is part of an overall $4.2 million investment to resurface US-10 from the Midland County line to Bay City.

The work requires overnight closures of the ramps at eastbound US-10 and Mackinaw Road between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Friday, July 21 and Sunday, July 23.

This work is expected to create a smoother road surface and extend the life of the roadway, MDOT officials said.

Eastbound US-10 to Mackinaw Road: Take eastbound US-10 to Garfield Road (Exit 132), then Salzburg Road back to Mackinaw Road.

Mackinaw Road to eastbound US-10: Take Mackinaw Road to Salzburg Road, then 9 Mile Road to enter eastbound US-10.
